We had a short ride today (55 miles) and ended up in a KOA shadowed by the Rockies, some even had snow on them! We had the opportunity ride through Canon City, Co, and ride out to Royal Gorge. I'm not sure why the Royal Gorge bridge was built, but boy is it high, spanning 1800 ft above the canyon floor over looking the Arkansas river. Simply reminded me of how big and awesome God is and how weak and puny I am. I have a tendency to turn that around some time and get myself in trouble.

Today was the first actual mountain roads I experienced, nothing overwhelming but they just kept going on and on and up and up. YIkes! Keeps us in your prayers as we continue north toward Fairplay and hope to stay at our Christian Camp at Cumo on Tuesday night. The Rust Rider

I still can't believe yall are this far and still peddling!! I am so proud of each of you for what you are doing. From what I hear you are into the "white stuff" country! As always, I am praying for all of you to be surrounded by God's protection. May He always sustain and uphold you in His mighty hand.

Scott, heard you on WAY FM a couple of days ago on the way to work. Sounds like you were on the road while you talked. I am sure you are looking forward to the "other" side of the Rockies...should go a lot faster. Watch out for those small rocks in the road at those high speeds. God's speed!

Scott,
Were you interviewed by Way radio? We get Way here and if you were, maybe I can get a copy of the tape if I let them know who I am and about Marvin. Please let me know what day and time so I can check into this. I think it is so exciting that you and the ride were heard over the nation! My prayers and thoughts are always with each of you!

Michael, Scott & gang -

Ya'll are doing just great! I want to see some of those Rockies pictures. We don't have many bumps in the road like that back here in Florida.

While at the Royal Gorge we had a great sandwich and rest at the White Water Bar & Grill, Highway 50 West, Canon City, CO. The owner, Ty Seufer, offered to take us on a white water rafting trip, but we had miles to cover the next day.

The Rockies photos are coming. Keep checking the photo log area of the web site. I have been talking to George. Sorry you and the misses could not go to Sarsota. Talk to you soon. Michael

Scott,
This is awesome! It is so exciting to hear what the Lord is impressing on your hearts as you ride through His creation. I'll check back on the site (which is amazing thanks to Jeannie!) to keep up with your trip.
May the Lord use you today!

Hey Guys thanks for the encouragement...forgive my poor use of the english language when I write the blog. I usually write them at the end of the day if we have a connection. Keep us in your prayers...Scott aka The Rust Rider
We will try and be on way fm on mon and friday mornings somewhere between 9 and 11am EST. Getting tougher to do as we move further west.
